Eddie Howe has made seven changes for Newcastle United's Carabao Cup third round clash with Bradford City - but includes eight full internationals in the starting XI against the League One leaders.

Bruno Guimarães captains the side against the Bantams, having been rested for the Premier League trip to Bournemouth at the weekend, while Aaron Ramsdale makes his competitive Magpies debut in goal.

Also coming into the team are Emil Krafth, Joelinton, Anthony Gordon, Anthony Elanga and William Osula.

Gordon has now served his three-match suspension after he was sent off against Liverpool and, along with Elanga, will support Osula in leading the line.

Joelinton makes his 21st appearance for the club in the League Cup, moving him to joint third of all-time; Rob Lee has made the most with 23. He has four goals in the competition, which is the joint seventh highest.

Dan Burn, who scored in the final as United lifted the Carabao Cup at Wembley in March, is given the night off.
