Oona joined the Magpies having represented Finland at the UEFA Women's Euros earlier that summer.

The 21-year-old joined Rosengard from AC Milan in January 2025 and went on to make 17 appearances in the 2024/25 campaign, scoring five goals in all competitions.

During her time in Italy, she would spend the 2023/24 season on loan at fellow Serie A Women outfit Como.

Oona's impressive goalscoring record at the beginning of her career with PK-35 Vantaa and HJK Helsinki, scoring 16 times in 23 games for the latter, earned her plaudits as one of Finland's most promising talents.
