The Winlaton-born forward was named in a first-team matchday squad for the first time during Newcastle's Emirates FA Cup fourth round victory against Birmingham City after impressing at youth level, scoring seven goals in as many Under-18 Premier League North matches.

The promising striker scored 13 goals across all competitions for United's Under-18s side in 2023/24 as well as making his Under-21s debut in a EFL Trophy clash against League Two Crewe Alexandra.

Neave, who signed his first professional deal with his boyhood club last summer, also scored within two minutes of his full Premier League 2 debut for United's under-21 side during a 3-1 away win against Leeds United in November 2024 and recorded a total of four goals in five league matches at second-string level in 2024/25.

The promising teenager was handed his first-team debut for Eddie Howe's side during a pre-season friendly against Celtic, introduced from the substitutes' bench in the closing stages at Celtic Park.
