The Magpies have not fared too well at Stamford Bridge in recent seasons but Eddie Howe's side - much-changed from the draw with Barcelona in midweek - impressed in the capital on Saturday evening.
Anthony Gordon's first-half strike was enough to seal all three points, with the goalscorer landing 36% of the final vote to be crowned Player of the Match.
In midfield, it was another smart showing by Jacob Ramsey [8%], who is benefitting from regular minutes in black and white of late.
Chelsea huffed and puffed but Newcastle's defence was resilient, with Malick Thiaw [31%] and Sven Botman [1%] both colossal at the back, while Lewis Hall [23%] also put in a solid display against his former club.
