Newcastle United secured their third UEFA Champions League win of the campaign on Wednesday evening, beating Athletic Club 2-0 at St. James' Park.
Eddie Howe's men took the lead in the 11th-minute when Dan Burn headed home, unmarked, at the back post. Sandro Tonali proved as instrumental as ever in the middle of the park, while Joelinton got himself on the scoresheet in the second-half, ensuring the tie was wrapped early in the second period.
Harvey Barnes was a thorn in Athletic Club's side all evening as he helped himself to an assist.
