Entertainment and activities
Whether this is your first time visiting St. James’ Park to support the Lasses or you’ve been before, we are bringing the vibes and good times to your Sunday afternoon.
When you first get to the ground, do remember to pop into the club shop, where you will also be able to find Monty and Maggie, who are always happy to give out a high-five or take a selfie.
The party starts early in Newcastle for our first match of the season at St. James’ Park. The famous STACK will open its doors to fans from 11am, so you can enjoy a wide selection of food vendors and drinks and build a great atmosphere before heading into the ground.
Alongside the usual food and drink options, there will also be live music throughout, as well as a face painting station.
As you make your way up to the stadium, keep an eye and ear out for the Bangshee Drummers, who will perform two sets near the club shop at 12:40pm and 13:10.
Ahead of kick-off, we will have DJ Gaynor Marshall playing some of the very best tunes around now, as well as classics that you all know and love. She will also return at half-time to help ensure the atmosphere is always flowing.
Food and drink
Before the match, make sure to take advantage of the fact that you can take drinks to your seats – including alcoholic beverages – pre- and post-kick-off. There will be kiosks open in the Eats Stand if you wish to grab some food at the game, but remember these are all cashless.
13:15 – Players out to warm up
With 45 minutes to go until kick-off, the players will be out to warm up. This is the perfect time to show off your chants at a magnificent stadium.
13:50 – Countdown to kick-off
Make sure to get those last-minute drinks, snacks and selfies, because you’ll want to be in your seat to soak up all the atmosphere ahead of the first game here at St. James’ Park this season.
13:55 – Remembrance Day Plans
We advise all supporters to be in their seats earlier than usual as we pay our respects on Remembrance Sunday.
Commemorations will include wreath-laying by Armed Forces representatives, and a pre-match minute's silence - starting and concluding on the referee’s whistle.
14:00 – Kick-off
Grab a flag, be loud, be proud and give our Lasses a huge Geordie welcome onto the pitch and cheer them on to a winning derby day.
14:45 – Half-Time
Approximately 14:45, depending on stoppage time. With the 15-minute break, you can grab food and drink from the concourse and remember to enjoy more tunes from our pitchside DJ.
15:45 - 16:00 – Full-Time
Post-match, our players are always very appreciative of your support. However, after some time to reflect, the club would kindly ask supporters to refrain from giving gifts and presents to players after the game.
