Setting Up a Newcastle United Official Supporters' Club Branch

These clubs are typically formed based on location, offering fans the chance to gather and watch matches together, no matter how far away you are from St. James' Park.

  • Act as a positive ambassador for the Club in the local community. 

  • Value, promote, and uphold the Club’s historical legacy. 

  • Unite local members and foster community spirit through a shared passion for the Club. 

  • Regularly communicate members’ views and feedback to the Club. 

  • Treat all OSC members, and other OSCs, with respect at all times. 

  • Use the position to benefit the greater fanbase, avoiding personal interests. 

  • Support the Newcastle United Foundation and local charities where possible. 

  • Ensure the Club’s reputation is not brought into disrepute. 

  • Adhere to the Club’s values – Collaborative, Passionate, Disciplined, Hardworking.  

What should I consider before applying?

  • Check if a supporters' club already exists in your area. 

  • Familiarise yourself with the duties and responsibilities of being a branch chairman. 

  • Arrange a consistent local meeting spot. 

  • Confirm you have the time and commitment necessary.

  • Have at least 10 members who are part of The Mags, The Mags+, or Junior Mags or are otherwise officially registered with the Club via a Supporter Number ID. 

  • OSCs must operate as non-profits. 

  • Members should live or frequent the OSC's region. 

  • Nominate a chairperson to communicate with the Club. 

  • All members must join the Club's membership scheme for ticket benefits. 

  • Hold Annual General Meeting to elect a committee. 

  • Establish rules and regulations for good governance. 

  • Hold committee meetings every four months. 

  • Cannot use the Club's intellectual property without approval. 

  • Use the OSC logo on stationery, merchandise and social media. 

  • Seek new members and provide regular updates to the Club. 

  • Your supporters club will be for the sole benefit of your members. 

  • Regular liaising with Newcastle United Fan Engagement and Events Coordinator.
